The ICT Statistics Portal of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is a repository of web-accessible ICT statistical data. Acknowledging the importance of statistics as inputs for informed decision-making of government and the private sector, the Philippine ICT sector saw the need to establish an online information system that would contain key ICT indicators critical for the measurement of the information society.

The Portal aims to consolidate ICT statistics gathered from data producers through official government surveys and other data sources. These data are documented and processed for dissemination to target users through the Portal. The statistics generated will be useful for policymakers, the private sector, academe and individual researchers interested in the growth and development of the ICT sector in the Philippines.

Development of the Portal was supported by the International Telecommunication Union. The Portal uses PC Axis as its statistical management platform. For information on PC-Axis, please visit http://www.scb.se/pc-axis.

The DICT was created through Republic Act 10844 “An Act Creating the Department of Information and Communications Technology” in 2016. The DICT is committed to promote ICT as a key enabler of the current administration’s social and economic development agenda and as an important driver of economic growth and global competitiveness.
